Since January of 2015 BRSO has partnered with The Emerge Center, enhancing the therapies for children with communication disorders such as autism through weekly live music programs. During the Symphony’s season, BRSO musicians work closely with Emerge Center faculty in developing programs that specifically address student needs, engaging students both in their classrooms and in a concert-like environment.

“Our mission is to empower children to effectively communicate and interact, and the variety of musical activities the symphony brings allows our children to participate in ways that were not  possible before this partnership. It is a joy to see the engagement on their faces when the musicians are here.”
