Clarinetist Tyler Bourque is a freelance musician and is currently Principal Clarinet of the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra. Bourque is also an active chamber musician jumping at any chance to collaborate with friends. He was a member of Deux Amis who was awarded First Place in the College Division at the 2018 New Orleans Chamber Music Festival while competing against musicians from around the southern gulf coast, and was recently awarded First Prize in the Graduate Division at the 2019 New Orleans Chamber Music Festival with the Dahl Trio. Bourque has also been a member of Constantinidies New Music Ensemble since 2018. He has performed in concerts and recitals with Lisette Oropesa, Hila Plitmann, and Megan Ihnen.

Bourque graduated from the Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he worked with Deborah Chodacki. He will begin his Master of Music this fall with Michael Rusinek at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
