Calling all wine connoisseurs, foodies, cheese enthusiasts, and Symphony lovers! Join us for our second Baton Rouge Symphony Virtual Wine and Cheese Tasting Fundraiser, featuring Spanish wines. This event is hosted by your Baton Rouge Symphony, in collaboration with Martin Wine & Spirits. Back by popular demand, Carolina Bistue, Winemaker at Bistue Cellars will be joined live from Spain by third generation Miquel Pons of Caves Miquel Pons. They will lead you through a tasting of three spanish wines - Miquel Pons Veremes 77 Xarello 2017, Tobelos Rioja Crianza 2015, and Noster Inicial Priorat 2017. Tune in as they answer any questions you might have about wine, winemaking, and viticulture. Susan Anderson from Martin Wine Cellar has paired each wine with cheese and other Spanish inspired accoutrements. The tasting will be accentuated with Spanish influenced performances by classical guitarist Nicholas Ciraldo!
Attendees will be sent a private Zoom link for the virtual guided tasting held on Friday, October 9th, starting at 6:00pm. Each purchase includes a tasting kit that comprises three bottles of wine, cheese, and accompaniments for up to 4 people.
Tasting kits may be picked up at Martin Wine Cellar, 1670 Lobdell Ave starting Wednesday afternoon, October 7.
